The conference gathered representatives from Member States,Members of the European Parliament and key stakeholders for a day of intensivediscussions and workshops to discuss the planned Road Initiatives as announced in the 2016 Commission Work Program. The two main agenda points focused onthe Internal Market and Social aspects of road transport and asecond focus was on Road Charging – price signals andi nteroperability of electronic tolling systems. Considering the different levelof enforcement across Member States, several stakeholders called on theCommission to create a European Agency for Transport which could have an overview of the different country specific initiatives.
