A briefing on draft guidance and draft Q&A documents prepared by the Commission together with experts from Member States regarding the date of freezing as provided for in the Food Information to Consumers regulation (Regulation 1169/2011).

The briefing contains a summary of the questions posed regarding to the "the date of first freezing" and on "labelling of meat and fish" in relation to freezing.

Attachments 1 & 2 contain the draft answers of the Commission regarding the respective questions.
